Experience
I graduated from college with a bachelor's degree in university studies. During this time, I spent a bulk of my studies focusing on business psychology and Chinese language and culture. Shortly after graduating, I moved to Chengdu, China, and became a classroom English as a Second Language teacher. While living in China, I also had the privilege to learn Mandarin Chinese and tutor English to students in a one-on-one setting in their homes. I'm thankful for my time as a teacher because it gave me the chance to work with a number of students with different needs and challenges, which helped me learn how to better work with pupils that have learning disabilities. In addition to working as a teacher, I've also worked as a volunteer for various therapy programs where I helped people with non-traditional forms of therapy, like equestrian therapy. I am driven by the need to help people reach all of their goals in the classroom as well as out in the world. As a tutor, I am committed to giving my students the hands-on assistance that they need to overcome their problems, no matter how big or small. When I'm not teaching, I like to spend my time traveling abroad, dancing, and learning new languages.
